After successfully escaping the view of the crowd as well as the hunters as well, Bison finally made it to the secret entrance of the castle. When reaching for the bolder of the far-side of the rocky hills, Bison stopped to catch his breath as well as looking around, for any "unwanted" guests that tried to break into the castle many times before.
Bison then slowly pushed the huge boulder to the right side the entrance and squeezed tightly through the gap, then after making his way in, he turned around to find a door-knob like rock behind the bolder. Then grabbed onto it, then slide it to the right, to close the entrance, checking that there was still no one there to try to sneak inside the secret entrance.
BANG!...The entrance was closed.
Bison then wiped his head with the top base of his hand, which got most of the sweat and dirt and took a deep breath.
He then laid down on the rocky, warm sand and looked at the walls of the secret cave. Bison then began to think and just gazed all around.
Oh my god! That must have taken a lot of time to crave the whole cave, when I get back to my family I might tell them the story of how we first came to this love paradise. I know someone who would love to beg me to tell them.
Bison then looked down at his tail and saw the damage from the hunt, his eyes were wide with shock when he saw his tail ends tore and freshly scared.
Oh great, now my queen is going to want me dead after she sees this, she'll go on about it for days like...
"You stupid idiot! What did I tell you about looking out for those bastards trying to eat you, where were the huntresses you got hurt, blah! Blah! Blah!"
Then again she might get turned on by them like she always does. She's always had a little fetish for my scars, even the one she did on my back a few times. She aways does that when she's in heat. Bison laughed. After awhile, Bison began to feel a bit dazzled as he looked up and saw that there was a small dome of air at the very top of the cave, where the water could not fill to the very top of the cave. Bison then looked away, turning his head down-left and closed his eyes with a frown on his face.
N-no. I can't. Not yet. he thought, in a mysterious voice which was rather soothing yet angry.
Bison then pulled himself up and went deeper into the cave, through the tunnels then squeezed his way through the cracks as well as other secret pathways throughout the whole village, just in case there was war or attack from a group of underwater predators. The cave walls were mostly uneven and some had small, chipped holes on both the floors and the walls itself, there was also algae and some underwater plants growing all around the ceiling of the tunnels, with small crustaceans eating some of the green grass of the sea. Further, in the tracks of the caves, there was a speckle of light in the far side of the left tunnel as Bison turned his head to the left, as he looked at the light he knew that it was the right way to go to the castle.
Almost there. He said, wiping the gravel off his shoulders.
He moved his tail slightly to move towards the light and was relieved when he finally made it to the light. For right in front of him, was a rusty, decayed, old steel door with the glass window broken into small pieces, some were scattered over the sandy ground while the rest was still stuck on the window opening.
Finally, I made it. He thought.
Bison then reached out for the handle as he went closer towards the door, carefully trying to avoid the mini glass blades right below his tail. With a loud click of the lock and a thump from the force, the door finally opened. Slowly pushing the door wasn't quite enough as the rust from the old door was scrapping between the stone cave walls as Bison was also forceful, as he tried to push the door to open as it looked like it hasn't been opened in years.
Bison then poked his head out the side to see if he was in the right place as he looked around for anyone who was around the dark, cold and cluttered room. He then spotted something glowing on the far side of the room, like some sort of green glow which looked more shell shaped than a single sphere. Bison went closer towards it, bumping into a few things as he could not see well in the dark. He then got close enough to see that it…was just a Clusterwink snail, slowing moving around with a green glow around it.
"Oh! Hello there, how did you get here? You look lonely." He said with a calm tone of voice.
"You know. I think I might know a little someone who would love to have you around...Huh little guy?"
As the snail slowly crawled along the stone, cold walls, Bison then reached for the small creature as he was cautious not to crush it with his big hands as he was a big Merman, probably bigger than a boat but that's just how some of the others describe him. He then picked up the small snail and then continued to look around to find any sign of a door, whether it was wood, steel or even stone, Bison had to find a way to get out to the castle just above. He looked and looked but nothing was clear to see as Bison couldn't see almost anything, what with the room completely covered in a sheet of darkness and with no way of knowing where to go without crashing into something by accident and bruising him even more.
Then when he looked at the snail he had in his hands, he saw that it was glowing a rather odd blend of green and yellow at the same time, like a highlighter you get at school to get some words out of a book and note it down. He had a plan! If he could use the glow from the snail to find the door, he might stand a chance.
"Ok, now little guy! You're going to help me get out of this room, with that glow on your shell it won't be too risky! Right? So let's try it out!" Bison then held out the small, glowing creature as it slowly slivered in his hand, the glow was not as bright as he thought but it helped him see at least a few inches of the ground.
"Thank God!" he sighed, looking around where the glow was.
As the glow shined throughout the cold, dark room, there were a few things around the area that were quite, odd? Just to say the least. There, scattered around like a bombed house during ww2, were bits of old, worn-out, mouldy, eaten furnisher, both wood and fabric, just left in the room to die. There were chairs, tables, decretive works of art, toys, paintings that were ripped and looked rather haunting and broken cutlery like bent forks and rusty spoons. Most of the wood ones were covered in broken splinters and chipped carvings of patterns, while the fabric ones were completely covered in what looked like either mould or algae, to say the least. The cutlery was all over the palace with most of it still in the old drawers with rusted parts all over the steel as well as in the drawer itself. Most of the fabric was torn and lost its colour, with most of it on the floor as well as the other parts of the chair, and the mould gave it a sickly feeling towards it like someone violently vomited all over the chairs.
Bison looked astonished at the very sight of the "Junk?" and widened his eye at the thought of having this for so long.
I really must get the maids to properly get rid of this stuff. He thought to himself. But there's no time for that now!
Bison then looked around the room and went on forward to find the nearest door, from every nook and cranny he searched, but for a moment there was no luck. Oh my good God! Where the hell is the door? He screamed in his mind, carefully holding the snail in his huge hands.
The snail then went back into the shell after a while and even though it was inside, the shell continued glowed in the dark. After a good few minutes of looking around, there it was! The exit!
"Finally!" He said as he moved closer to the exit door. "Ok little guy! Now we can get out of here and find my family! Are you excited to see that little someone I told you about? I know I would!" He squeaked, as he put his hand on the knob of the door. Then finally! managed to find the door to the castle, as Bison moved forward through the door, discovered that he was just outside the entrance of the castle doors. He turned around to the door to find that it was the old storage that was abandoned because Bison forgot all about it.
"Oh! That's what that room was? Oh...Ok!" Bison said to himself as he got a better look at the view.
"Ok little guy! Let's head on inside!" He said as he looked down at the snail.
With that in mind, he went ahead towards the castle doors, which was just a few feet away. As Bison ventured on however, he discovered that he has to hide the snail before he could enter the castle, so that he could surprise his youngest child when he sees her. Bison then looked at the snail, who poked its head out of the darkened shell which no longer glowed, and began to think of how to hide it. Then suddenly! He found the solution to the problem!
"Ok now! Try to stay in the shell for a little bit longer and I'll keep you safe in my seaweed pocket on my tail, don't worry I'll take the sword out before I but you in. Ok?" Bison whispered as he held the snail closer towards his face. The little snail looked at him with a silent stare, then surprisingly the snail did as it was told, it was like the snail understood what Bison said and then went back into its shell. A bit of its mucus spit out a bit and swayed around in the water but Bison didn't mind it as almost 50 years of the things that go on in the ocean had nothing compared to the slimy mucus from one small snail.
Bison the pulled out his sword and placed the little snail inside the pouch of the seaweed pocket, then held on to the sword with his left hand and then went on towards the castle doors. When he finally manage to get just to the doors, he could feel a tingling inside his tail, as well as his mind. Not only with the thought of coming back home but the reaction from his queen and his own children.
"Oh good God! It's been rather long to be away from them, especially not to write or even send a little gift once in a while." Bison breathed a big sigh before he could clear his mind again. "Well… here goes." With that, he slowly pushed the doors open as he took a deep breath of the cold, salty, clear sea water through his gills to his own lungs as he continued to push the door.
The noise from the stone door echoed throughout the castle as some of the seaweed, which grew around the windows, began to swirl violently around the little space it had. When the door was wide enough Bison finally stopped and caught his breath once more than looked up to find that the hall was dead silent. Not a single sound throughout the whole hall, not a shift, not a ting, not even the sound of rushing water could be heard in the castle. All he could hear was the sound of the bubbles of air, trapped by the mouldy, sticky cracks of the castle walls that has a sort of a faded shade of white with chipped bits of old stones, which crumpled to the very touch of Bison's hand.
"Hello!" Bison roared.
His words echoed throughout the hall, but there was no reply.
"Hmm…maybe I'll check upstairs." Bison thought.
Bison then headed towards the grand foyer staircase, which was carved out of pure limestone over ten thousand years ago by the first kings of the underworld. He decided to go to the left side of the foyer and placed his sword on the side of the foyer, just in case there was trouble. Once he made it to the top, he discovered that was still no sign of anyone! Not even a single fish swam by him.
"Hello! Anyone here!" Bison boomed, as he looked in every room, opened every door, searched in every corner and even tried to hear any monition of movement. Suddenly there was a sudden whoosh of water from the other side of the room! Bison then stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes widened to the point of forming blood vessels, his lips sealed shut with such a strong force that his sharp teeth violently bit the inside of his cheeks, his hands clenched tightly with the wounds slightly stinging his fingers, while his tail slowly waved back and forth from side to side as if he was ready to make a dash for any sign of escape.
"What the…?" Bison thought as he turned his head around very slowly...But there was no one there.
There it was again! Only closer, Bison then saw a small, dark shadow just rushed right behind him as he turned his head once again to find that it went to one of the rooms.
"Oh God! What the hell is that!" he whispered to himself as he witnesses its presence. He turned his head yet again to see the other side when the shadow rushed right in behind him yet again! Only this time it came up slow towards him…closer…and closer…and closer…slowly waving a small, pointed, smooth tail left and right as it drew near, the colour turning yellow with caution, Bison then halted in pure shock as his skin turned into a pale white with his teeth wrenching each other with force. Suddenly there was…silence…Bison shivered and shook as he slowly turned his eyes behind his back…and saw the shadow but it looked blurry because he could not bring his eyes closed as it began to hurt him…then he waited.
Bison then clenched his hand to form a fist, ready to fight back against this creature! Not know how big it was nor even what it actually is. Then the shadow stopped in its tracks! Then…there…was…silence…The second floor was so quiet…Bison could even hear his heart racing, pounding like a machine on full power, he then unclenched his fist for just a second when! Suddenly there was a swirl of water rushing towards him!
Bison then quickly turned around but the force of the creature's ponce was too quick to even respond! He was quickly pinned down like he was prey to the creature, everything was just going so fast it was unreal, suddenly grabbed the creature by its arms that pinned him down and lifted it up to face it before anything else could happen, but when the creature faced the light of the sun from above, the creature turned from a shadow to something quite surprising! Bison then looked at the creature…then his mind went from fear to shock!
"What...Wha...How...?" Bison stuttered, as he was taken back to this unknown hybrid. With a better view of the hybrid, the shadow creature was gone! And in its place… was another mermaid but much smaller.
The little one had dirty blond hair on one side which was long and wavy, while the other side was cut short and looked darker. She had big, shiny, blue eyes with average length eyelashes around the top, her nose was not small but not too big as it had little, wide nostrils but not too wide. She looked like she was just starting puberty as her breast looked like they were starting to form, the private part of the breasts were covered by some form of a bra but however there was no string or strap as the small bra looked like it was stuck on by some sort of waterproof substance, the colour of this star-shaped bra was green with a bit of a shine glistening from the rays of the sun. On her left arm, you could see that she had some sorta band wrapped around, but this band was a light shade of green, with dark green lines curved around like a circular pattern on wood carvings and sculptures details. Then her tail…although it was smaller in length and width than the other mermaids her age, you can see that is was no tail like the others as the space between her hips and her tail line was covered in different colours of seaweed, red…green...even brown, with a collection of rope and strings, tying the seaweed together to form some sort of skirt made from a rainbow of seaweed. Then…what was wrapped around her tail was really quite unique, what was wrapped around that little tail was more seaweed but all wrapped and tied together to form a rope pattern but with some of the short seaweeds sticking out, all curved around her tail like a Christmas décor wrapped around the railings on the stairs.
As she stepped a little into the ray of light, her skin was shown a lot clearer, like a peach colour mixed with a pink rose to create the most purist skin for her kind. Bison then finally got a good look and then just stood there, motionless…Bison then stuttered as he tried to say something but it was imprisoned deep within his throat.
"FATHER!!!" Boomed the small merchild! Suddenly she raced forward in sheer excitement as she held out her arms as wide as she possibly could.
Bison then transformed from scared to joy as his tail then turned pink as he felt so happy to see her. Terra then leapt into him with her arms still out as she held on to him to embrace with all the love she had as she held her arms around him tightly. Bison then wrapped his arms around her and playfully lifted her up in his arms then began to happily laugh with her as he twirled her around and around while they were both giggling with such glee. They twirled and twirled in circles as they both felt like they haven't seen each other I weeks, months even felt like years to them.
A few minutes passed and Bison could still feel the tight grip from Terra as she still held on to him like a puppy bonding with its owner. He tried to put her down but she was reluctant to let go for even a second. Bison then looked down at her and saw that she had something coming from her eyes, he could see that she was actually crying tears of joy, he never knew that she missed him this much for such a long time. He then felt his heartstrings being pulled as his started to feel something in his eyes as well as hers. He tried not to but that would make him feel cold hearted, something he did not want his child to even think.
"I missed you." She said as she looked at him, with those teary yet glimmering sky blue eyes.
"Me too sweetheart." Bison calmly explained as he held her closer. Terra too could feel warm vibe between them so she tried to hold on for just a little longer, but she had no chose but to let him go from her embrace.
"Oh, my precious child. I know how you feel about my absence, but I'm here now, please don't cry…" Bison said as he tried to hold at least some of his tears back but was still powerless to the strong emotions of the mind.
"…I can't bear to see you like this after so long."
"But father…you were gone for so long…I was frightened…"
"I know my child. I know." Bison said as he could feel the tight grip from her digging into his own skin. Terra felt the sadness clouding around both of them, suffocating them with it poisonous fumes that leaked into their lungs. She then knew that she had to let him go from her grasp, so she had no other choice but to loosen her arms and release her fingers from digging further into his skin.
After the powerful embrace, Terra then moved back a bit to give her father at least some space, while Bison looked at Terra's red, painful eyes and took a deep breath from his gills and then began to speak.
"I'm so happy to be back, after so long."
"I missed you too father!" Terra said with glee as her eyes slowly turned to normal.
"I know that mother misses you too!"
"Oh! Really!" Bison cheekily replied as he pulled a little smirk. Terra giggled a bit too because Bison loved to tease the queen with little tricks and jokes.
"Oh, How are the others doing?"
"Eh, their fine, Xavier keeps playing with some of the village kids and Sonya…hmm…I don't really know what she does during the day?" Terra said while confusedly scratching her head.
"Oh! I see. Well, do you know where they are now?" Terra looked at him with confusion as she tried desperately to remember what she heard from her mother. Then suddenly she remembered!
"Well mother went in one of the caves behind the castle and both Xavier and Sonya went out to the village to do some errands that mother asked."
"And what are you doing?"
"Well…I was fixing my seaweed skirt, Sonya accidently ripped it when she tried to put it on someone's head. So…yeah!" Terra explained. Bison then chuckled a bit, but then he remembered something!
"Oh! I almost forgot!" He said.
"But first, you need to hold your hands out and close your eyes!" Terra looked at him with a suspicious smirk like it was some cheeky trick, something that she was an expert on. Without hesitation, she pulled out her hands and closed her eyes as tightly as she could. Bison then waved his hand in her face, just to see if she flinched and her eyes were really shut. Yep! They were shut. Bison then looked through his pouch to find it and then found the snail, still in its shell. Bison then put the snail in her hands and then said.
"On the count of three open your eyes! Ready?" Terra nodded.
"Ok! 1…2…3! Open!"
Terra then opened her eyes and looked down at her hands. "Cool! A snail!" she squeaked as her eyes widened with excitement and joy that her tail turned pink. Terra then looked at the snail with a big goofy smile on her face as she drew it closer to her face.
"Hello, there friend! Would you like to come out and say hello." Bison then went closer to the snail and whispered to it.
"It's OK…you can come out now." With that, the snail then slowly came out of the shell and then looked up to see Terra's big smile. The snail then slowly moved towards her as it looked like a stray kitten, the snail then rubbed its face on her nose like what the kitten would do when it was showing affection towards its new owner. Terra looked at the small snail with such happiness, that you could see the rays of light shining through her sky blue eyes.
"Aww! It likes me father, hmm…what should I call you…" Terra thought long and hard for a name, then suddenly came up with the sweetest name of all!
"Smiley! Smiley the Snail! Yeah, that sounds right." Bison chuckled a little, then put his hand over his mouth. Terra looked at him and began to laugh herself.
Both ended up roaring in laughter for no reason other than their own laughter.
Then Bison remembered where his wife was and then tried to stop. Terra then looked at him again and she too tried to stop the laughter but she too was powerless to stop the roars of happiness pouring from her mouth. Finally, they began to settle down and then stopped.
"Oh! I forgot about her! Do you know where she is at the moment?" Terra smirked.
"She's in one of the caves behind the castle if you hurry you can find her."
"Thanks, honey. You run along now with your new friend." Bison said as he placed his hand on top of her head.
"Hehe. Yes, father! Come along now Smiley! Allow me to show you around your new home!" With that Terra then went speeding off past Bison and fast forward towards one of the hallways, and with that,…she was gone.
Bison then looked back with a smile on his face.
"She sure loves that snail…I just hope for her sake that the others do too." He thought to himself. With that, he then turned the direction of the stairs and headed forward, then down the staircase, finally turning towards the open door holes that did not have doors in them but an oval shaped hole instead. Bison then sped past the rooms, the halls, and the dining tables towards the entrance of the backgarden.
